Topcon Smooth Track
Smoothtrack™ Sonic Tracker
The Sonic Tracker is Topcon’s patented second generation Sonic Tracker featuring two types of temperature compensation. By using the temperature sensor on the back of the unit, as well as the temperature bail, the unit compensates for atmospheric disturbance that can affect performance. Add smart controller features such as Averaging and Temperature Cutout, and you have the most stable and accurate grade sensor available in the construction industry.
How the Sonic Tracker works:
1) The Sonic Tracker sends out a pulse of sound and starts a timer
2) The sound pulse travels down and strikes the reference sending back an echo
3) The echo strikes the transducer and the Sonic Tracker stops the timer. Measuring the time it took for the echo to return, the system knows the distance it resides above the reference.
Tracker Jack
Topcon’s 9130 Laser Receiver with Tracker Jack gives your grader laser accuracy. Its highly visible display lamps point the way to grade whether you’re low, high or on grade. It provides 152cm of elevation travel and automatically locates the beam at setup or when transmission is interrupted.
Slope Sensor
The durable 100% capable slope sensor is 5 times more slope capable than the competition: • Level vial reduces “slosh” for faster, more accurate response
• Cast housing with weather protected connectors
• Sealed inside and out to protect against moisture and contaminants
How the Slope Sensor works
1) +2% slope a positive signal is generated
2) 0% slope no signal is generated
3) -2% slope a negative signal is generate
LS-B2 Laser Sensor
The easy to use LS-B2 sensor is designed to boost machine production so your business always maintains a leading edge over the competition. It features four selectable on-grade bandwidths – from rough to super-fine grade – to suit your job. The versatile LS-B2 works easily with any machine so you only need one receiver for any job. Using a laser as its reference, the LS-B2 visually provides the machine operator the grade information needed for continuous work, freeing the grade checker to work elsewhere.
