Designed for use in a number of challenging environments, the DL-500 range is equally suited to carrying out levelling runs in low-light conditions or intense sunlight as it is during normal working site conditions. Thanks to design improvements, the DL-500 range is able to provide stable measuring capabilities in many hostile environments.

Additionally, new bar code staff technology has allowed for two unique features to be implemented within the DL-500 range. Thanks to a unique bar code pattern, the digitial levels are able to recognise whether the staff is being held upright or in the inverted position, thus elimiating any potential erroneous backsight and foresight measurements.

Secondly, thanks to new algorithms within the processing unit, the DL-500’s CCD will recognise and process the bar code pattern on a rocking staff. This means that when taking observations, the correct lowest staff reading will always be taken.
